When you use this tool, it is like having an extra hand. And, you can use this “hand” in all those places that can be dangerous to your fingers. Use it at the ironing board to hold open seam allowances and little points. Position the tool on your fabric and then place your hot iron on the tool. The metal ends transfer the heat from the iron to the fabric. Another cooler place to use this tool is near your sewing machine’s needle.
